An old photo of an old marker signifying and even older airport. Down by the rodeo grounds in Tucson near south 12th ave. According to the Abandoned and little known airfields site this airport was the first municiple airport in the United States, in operation from 1919-1933. This photo of the marker makes a good "primitive." A nice aerial shot of the airport from the 20's is here.
